Richard C. Mapp, III has structured and closed more than $300 million in ESOP transactions. Mr. Mapp regularly consults with selling shareholders, management and lenders, and financial and tax advisors with respect to buyout transactions and stock based incentives for privately owned businesses. His team has extensive experience designing deals and programs in a complex, interdiscliplinary environment involving ERISA, executive compensation, income tax, and corporate finance and securities law. Mr. Mapp is a regional officer and national committee member in The ESOP Association, and is Chairman of the Employee Benefits Practice Group of Kaufman & Canoles, a large Virginia business law firm headquartered in Norfolk, Virginia.
